Your Tribute and LTP are working as part of the team involved in Leeds United’s Bremner Square Project. The extensive redevelopment project will create a new landscaped area around the original statue of the team’s most successful captain – Billy Bremner. It will provide a ‘permanent fixture’ at the team’s home ground, in Elland Road, and will feature personalised, engraved granite tiles. All masonry works are being carried out by Your Tribute’s Kevin O’Brien, with stone surfaces cleaned and protected using ECOPROTEC® Intensive Cleaner and Patio Sealer.
The symbolic Bremner tribute statue was erected outside Elland Road in 1999; it was created by the sculptor, Frances Segelman, and captures the football icon in celebratory pose. Redevelopment works in the area close to the statue include dedicated stones for ten further Leeds United legends who, along with Billy, will form the Bremner Square XI. These will then be surrounded by supporters’ own engraved stones.
Your Tribute’s installation includes dark grey personalised granite slabs and lighter toned borders throughout the stepped and level landscaped areas, which surround the statue. During each phase of the project, the stone slabs will be deep cleaned with ECOPROTEC® Intensive Cleaner to remove dirt and residue. ECOPROTEC® Patio Sealer will then provide protection against staining; the water-based impregnator has a natural finish and will repel water, oil and grease, whilst allowing granite to breath. Both products provide a fast, safe application and have a non-hazardous, low odour formation that can be used inside and outdoors.
