The ECOPROTEC® range provides a full suite of sustainable surface care products developed for the contract market and manufactured in the UK. All treatments benefit from the most advanced research in water-based technology and combine high performance with low odour and low VOC formulations. The range includes protection and maintenance regimes for natural and engineered floors, including polished and unpolished natural and artificial stone, porcelain, ceramic, concrete, masonry and terrazzo. Products are designed for the protection and maintenance of surfaces – indoors and outside – and are offered alongside expert support from LTP’s technical team.
ECOPROTEC® Patio Sealer – is a water-based impregnating sealer for outdoor paving. Designed to protect all types of natural and artificial stone and concrete in outdoor settings, the treatment provides high performance and high coverage rates, combined with low odour and low VOC for a safe, eco-friendly treatment.
Unlike film-forming or topical sealers which sit on the surface of a tile, impregnating sealers penetrate, react and line the open pores. They create a hydrophobic and oleophobic barrier that helps to prevent deep staining and facilitates future cleaning and aftercare. Once cured, water vapour permeability remains, allowing transition of microscopic droplets of moisture. This helps to keep any rising salts down and allows any residual moisture to escape.
ECOPROTEC® Patio Sealer is suitable for smooth, honed, rough cut and polished paving. It’s applied to clean, dry surfaces – using a light pressure sprayer, foam roller or paint brush – and the finish created is natural, breathable and subtly enhances the colour of the paving. Treatment provides protection against staining and strongly repels water, oil and grease. When applied before grouting, it also protects against fixing residues and promotes easy cleaning.
Other new solutions to join the range include ECOPROTEC® Cement, Grout & Salt Residue Remover, Black Stone Colour Restorer and a new Pre Grout Protection. Suitable for use indoors and outside, ECOPROTEC® Cement, Grout and Salt Residue Remover replaces conventional acids normally used to remove cement and grout residues. The treatment can be used on all types of tile and natural stone surfaces, except those with a polished finish. Notably, it can be safely applied to unpolished acid-sensitive surfaces, including limestone and travertine. As well as removing new and existing building residues, the Remover also disperses rising salt residues caused by issues including substrate moisture and spot fixing.
ECOPROTEC® Black Stone Colour Restorer is a low odour and VOC-free sealer that restores the appearance of faded limestone, marble, slate and concrete in outdoor settings. Fast and safe to use, Blackstone is applied in multiple coats until the desired colour effect is achieved – from grey to ebony – and the surface is then cut-back to remove residue. The permanent finish created then provides ongoing protection against the elements.
Developed for use indoors and outside, ECOPROTEC® Pre Grout Protection is a ‘pre-and-post-grout’ treatment designed for unpolished porcelain. It protects tiles from staining and allows easy removal of residues of cement-based grouts and two-part resin based jointing compounds, as well as stubborn organic matter. Creating a barrier, without forming a film or altering appearance, it helps to improve and increase the working time of grouts and jointing compounds – and greatly reduces the risk of cement and resin staining. It also helps assist with future cleaning and aftercare.
